Olandria Carthen Makes Her Live TV Debut in Roberto Cavalli at 'Watch What Happens Live'

NEW YORK – Olandria Carthen arrived at Bravo's "Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen" on Aug. 13, 2025, in a Roberto Cavalli ensemble pairing a black velvet bustier, an animal-print micro skirt and show-stopping studded thigh-high boots, marking her first live television appearance since the season's conclusion, alongside castmates Nic Vansteenberghe, Amaya Espinal and Bryan Arenales.

On the Aug. 13 episode of "Watch What Happens Live," host Andy Cohen welcomed Season 7 winners Amaya Espinal and Bryan Arenales, as well as runner-ups Olandria Carthen and Nic Vansteenberghe to the Bravo Clubhouse, just one day after Cohen and "Love Island USA" host Ariana Madix co-hosted the highly anticipated reunion special.

For Carthen, the evening carried particular weight: it was her first live television appearance since the season wrapped, giving fans, fashion watchers and industry insiders their first real-time glimpse of the woman who had quietly become one of summer 2025's most talked-about cultural figures.

The Clubhouse conversation was equally compelling. Carthen spoke candidly about navigating the villa as a Black woman, and about what her relationship with Vansteenberghe has meant to her. Describing her experience in the villa, Carthen said, "Before we came into this world, Black women already had a label. They're so quick to label us as angry Black women," explaining how she had to wear a "strong suit" throughout her time there. But with Vansteenberghe, she found something different: "The support that I have from this guy is unreal. So, it allows me to be the soft woman that I've always wanted to be." 

Her outfit for the evening was as sharp as her words. Before heading into the Bravo Clubhouse, Carthen wore a belted black velvet mini layered over an animal-print skirt that peeked out just enough to give dimension. The velvet bustier top features a square neckline and thick strap detailing at the shoulders, sitting precisely above a bold wide leather belt that cinches the waist and anchors the layered animal-print skirt beneath it. The thigh-high boots are constructed from horizontal bands of dark leather, each studded with gold hardware, wrapping the leg from ankle to upper thigh in a gladiator-inspired silhouette.

Roberto Cavalli first made his name in the early 1970s for his loud animal prints and excessive, sexy style, which remained his trademark throughout his decades-long career and made him a favorite of celebrities like Madonna and Zendaya. 

Stylists Matthew and Reginald Reisman have been intentional in how they've positioned Carthen in the fashion world from the start. "We wanted to show a bigger story of where she can take this new fame," Matthew Reisman shared with Teen Vogue. "We felt this obligation to really push and help carve out an opportunity and build her up."
