Olandria Carthen brings dark romance to the Blumarine show at Milan Fashion Week
MILAN — Olandria Carthen attended the Blumarine runway show during Milan Fashion Week Womenswear on Feb. 27 in Milan, adding another international fashion week appearance to her growing style resume.
Milan Fashion Week is one of the industry’s major global fashion weeks and a key stop on the ready-to-wear calendar, where luxury brands unveil upcoming collections to buyers, editors, celebrities and media.
For the show, Carthen wore a sheer black look that leaned into a moodier, more dramatic side of event dressing. The outfit featured a gauzy, semi-transparent top layer with silver grommet detailing, a visible black bralette underneath, a very short ruffled hemline and a long flowing sheer train that moved behind her as she walked. She finished the look with pointed knee-high black boots and layered jewelry, giving the outfit a rock-influenced edge while keeping the overall styling sleek and editorial.
The choice felt in step with Blumarine’s identity. The Italian house describes its brand DNA through freedom, inclusivity and contemporary femininity, while still holding onto the romantic spirit it has long been known for. Vogue Runway’s coverage of the Fall 2026 collection placed the brand firmly on the Milan schedule, reinforcing Blumarine’s role as a label associated with feminine fashion that often mixes softness with sexier, more expressive styling.
Carthen’s look played well within that space. The sheer fabric and fluttering train brought softness and movement, while the hardware details, exposed underlayer and sharp boots kept it from feeling delicate. Instead, the outfit landed somewhere between romantic and rebellious, which made it a strong fit for a Blumarine appearance.
As Carthen continues making rounds at major shows, appearances like this one help place her within the larger fashion conversation. Attending Blumarine during Milan Fashion Week signaled another step forward, this time through a look that embraced drama, confidence and a distinctly European fashion-week mood.
