Olandria Carthen leans into Roberto Cavalli glamour at Milan Fashion Week
MILAN — Olandria Carthen attended the Roberto Cavalli fashion show during Milan Fashion Week on Feb. 26 in Milan, stepping out in a black embellished look that matched the mood of one of Italy’s most recognizable luxury houses.
Milan Fashion Week is one of the industry’s major seasonal events, where international fashion houses present new collections to editors, buyers, celebrities and media. Roberto Cavalli’s Fall/Winter 2026/2027 show was part of that official schedule, with Vogue Runway listing the collection under the house’s Fall 2026 ready-to-wear presentation.
For the show, Carthen wore a fitted black dress with a semi-sheer base and heavy floral appliqué embroidery across the bodice and skirt. The dress featured thin straps, a delicate lace-trimmed neckline and intricate beading that gave the surface extra texture and shine.
The silhouette was body-skimming and elegant, while the sheer sections added contrast without taking away from the detailing. She paired the look with a chunky choker, a pendant necklace, statement rings and a blonde updo with bleached brows, making the overall styling feel dramatic and sharply editorial.
Her outfit stood apart from the label’s better-known print-heavy reputation in an interesting way. Instead of leaning on bright color or animal pattern, this look used lace, embellishment and a close fit to create impact. The result was moodier and more refined, but still very much in step with Cavalli’s history of designing for women who want presence. On Carthen, it came across polished, glamorous and a little dangerous, which made it an especially strong fashion-week moment.
As Carthen continues to build her fashion-week résumé, appearances like this help show her range. At Roberto Cavalli, she did not need a loud color or oversized shape to make an impression. The detail, the styling and the setting did the work, giving her another strong Milan moment in a house known for spectacle and attitude.
