Olandria Carthen brings a rich bohemian look to Valentino Haute Couture Week in Paris

PARIS — Olandria Carthen attended the Valentino Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2026 show during Paris Haute Couture Week on Jan. 28 in Paris, adding another major couture appearance to her fashion month schedule. 

Paris Haute Couture Week is one of the fashion industry’s most exclusive events, where a small group of maisons present highly crafted collections to editors, buyers, celebrities and clients. 

Carthen wore a deep-V printed look in jewel tones, combining shades of blue, green, cream and red with metallic detailing throughout the fabric. The outfit featured long sleeves, a plunging neckline, a belted waist and a narrow strip of dark fur trimming the front, giving the look texture and a slightly vintage feel. She styled it with voluminous dark hair, soft glam makeup and minimal jewelry beyond a few rings and small earrings, letting the pattern and neckline carry the statement.

Aligned with Valentino’s current creative direction under Alessandro Michele, Carthen’s richly detailed outfit embraces the fashion house's daring silhouettes, intricate embellishment and a deep focus on craftsmanship.  

Valentino has long held a central place in couture, known for refined Italian luxury and red-carpet dressing, and the house remains one of the defining names on the Paris schedule. In recent seasons, Michele’s version of Valentino has pushed that identity into a more eclectic and romantic direction, mixing historical references with a more expressive sense of styling. That context made Carthen’s appearance especially fitting: her look leaned into drama and glamour without losing the polished quality associated with the maison. 

On Carthen, the overall effect was confident and editorial. The strong print, fur detail and plunging neckline gave the look presence, while the softer styling kept it from feeling too heavy. At a couture show built around fantasy and craft, it was a fashion-week moment that felt both on-theme and memorable.
