Olandria Carthen makes a strong runway debut in Sergio Hudson at New York Fashion Week

NEW YORK — Olandria Carthen walked in Sergio Hudson’s Spring 2026 ready-to-wear show during New York Fashion Week on Sept. 12, marking a notable runway moment for the rising star as she stepped into one of fashion’s biggest stages. Sergio Hudson’s Spring 2026 presentation was part of that larger calendar, with Reuters reporting that the designer used the show to reaffirm his point of view and spotlight a collection built around sharp tailoring, custom animal prints and bold accessories. 

For the show, Carthen wore a look centered on a tan-and-black animal-print top with exaggerated volume through the sleeves and shoulders. The blouse was cinched tightly at the waist with a wide black belt featuring an oversized circular gold buckle, creating a strong silhouette that balanced structure with movement. She paired it with fitted black mini shorts and strappy black heels, while large gold hoop earrings, a sleek center-parted low style and a polished beauty look finished the outfit. The overall effect was confident and clean, with the bold print doing most of the talking.
